What do you do all day as a Homemaker?

 


Oftentimes I get asked: “So, what do you do all day as a Homemaker?”

I’ve always found this to be a humble question, stemming simply from mere curiosity 😌

Therefore, while many of us (especially women) are starting to spend more time in our homes I feel it’s only right to share a helpful blogpost:

Before the pandemic (many Homeschooling Mom’s/ Housewives without children/ Single Homemakers) would all mutually agree how we would personally find ways to enjoy our time visiting local events, museums, art galleries, lakeside picnics, Meetup Gatherings, etc

Now that much has been paused due to the pandemic and social distancing, many of us have to create new ways of enjoyment.

To help answer the most popular question I’ve received... Below is a list of responsibilities and hobbies I enjoy cultivating as a Homemaker:

Housekeeping: Laundry, lots of hand-washing Dishes, sweeping, dusting, upkeep bathrooms, household organizing, and weekly errands.
The smaller the home, the less cleaning required.
🎀Productivity and Relaxation are elements of this feminine lifestyle I enjoy balancing ⚖️. 🎀

After I’ve completed my daily responsibilities.. I’ll make time for the following throughout the week:

  • Exercise 
  • Dance 
  • Dollar Hobbies
  • Reading Books 📖
  • Blogging🌷
  • YouTube: prerecording and editing videos is another way to keep yourself busy... if you have the flexibility, I’d recommend starting a unique channel. It’s very fun if you’re doing it as a hobby, as opposed for clout)
  • Journal a personal gratitude list.
  • 💸Visit a local Antique/Thrift/Discounted clothing store and begin designing in your mind different outfit ideas, or future Home Decor.
  • 💫Elevating spiritually with God 🙏🏽.
  • 🛀🏾pamper bath: create your own brown sugar & honey exfoliator.
  • 🌼Paint your nails.
  • Create a natural hair mask and practice salon blow drying/styling your hair from home💆🏽‍♀️.
Listen to a positive music playlist.

The list can go on, it’s all about creating beauty out of simplicity.
